A Milwaukee alderman's push to have the People's Flag of Milwaukee become the official city flag will go before the Common Council Tuesday — but one of his colleagues has added a wrinkle.

After the Sept. 9 committee meeting at which a motion to make the People's Flag the official City of Milwaukee narrowly passed, Ald. Bob Bauman, who voted against that motion, has submitted an altered design for consideration.

MILWAUKEE - Amid the ongoing push to adopt a new Milwaukee flag, a city alderman is offering an alternate option. On Thursday, Sept. 19, Alderman Robert Bauman submitted a new flag design. It’s a modified version of "Sunrise Over the Lake," also known as the people’s flag, as the official City of Milwaukee flag.

The Common Council is currently considering an alternative to the Milwaukee City flag. Alderman Robert Bauman has introduced a second.
