Using three fingers, swipe up from the bottom of the touchpad (see image, below). That gesture switches you into Task View, with a large thumbnail for each open window and virtual desktop.
However, when it comes to selecting text or placing the cursor, it's hard not to miss having a mouse or a touchpad. That is, of course, unless you know about the virtual touchpad/trackpad.
